DOING THE RIGHT THING FOR THE RIGHT REASON WHEN TREATING RUPTURED ABDOMINAL AORTIC ANEURYSMS IN THE COVID-19 ERA

"This short report by the staff of the University Department of Vascular Surgery at the Attikon General Hospital in Athens highlights how a readjustment of the way ruptured aortic aneurysms are treated, helps in securing valuable resources and ICU beds that can be used for the management of CO VIR-19 patients. It is currently in press in the Journal of Vascular Surgery the official journal of the Society of Vascular Surgery in the USA.

Ruptured aneurym is a vascular emergency with an in hospital mortality of aproximately 50%."
